Tapping these pop-ups also sometimes give out power ups or special magenta-colored stars known as world stars, which get added to some levels as an extra challenge. These maps are modeled after pop-up books and are interactive pop ups can be tapped on and will sometimes play a small skit. In a similar manner to Cut the Rope Magic and the free-to-play version of Cut the Rope 2, Remastered organises individual levels using world maps. Om Nelle can also be maneuvered around the stage in all of her levels, similarly to Nibble Nom. ![]() Om Nelle's levels, added in the 1.2.0.247 update, are unlocked using each of the different kinds of stars and feature water covering half of the play area. Nibble Nom's levels have three candies to feed instead of one, and Nibble Nom himself is movable in all levels, unlike Om Nom who is stationary for the first three books. Om Nom is also completely stationary for the first three books. Om Nom's levels play like the original Cut the Rope games one candy must be manipulated into his mouth. Once the candy is fed to Om Nom, the player is given a score by how many stars they collected in the level and how quickly they completed it, similarly to Cut the Rope: Experiments, Cut the Rope 2 and older versions of the first game and Cut the Rope: Time Travel.Ī new gimmick of Cut the Rope Remastered is that Om Nom, Nibble Nom and Om Nelle all have their own level types. Each book has twenty-four levels and references a previous Cut the Rope game ( Evan's Home, for example, is based on the original Cut the Rope and Road Trip is based on Cut the Rope 2). As is commonplace in the series, three stars are found in every level, and must be collected to unlock later level packs, referred to in this game as books. Stage gimmicks such as bubbles and air cushions are used to assist manipulating the candy as well. In each level, candy hangs from one or more ropes, which have to be cut to maneuver the candy to Om Nom, Nibble Nom or Om Nelle. Om Nelle and a tired Nibble Nom find out and are not very pleased with Om Nom, though they cheer up and join in eating cake with him.Įmulating the gameplay of earlier games in the Cut the Rope series, Cut the Rope Remastered is a puzzle game. However, while Om Nelle is not looking, Om Nom creeps into the kitchen for another slice of cake. Om Nom and Nelle tuck him in bed for the night. When Nibble Nom opens the book, the pages fly out.Īfter finishing the book and having a few slices of the cake, it is bedtime for Nibble Nom. Along with Om Nom, Nibble Nom and Om Nelle are also featured in their own levels with their own gimmicks: feeding three candies to Nibble Nom, and the addition of water for Om Nelle. The game's level packs, referred to as books, are all based on previous games in the Cut the Rope series. As with all Cut the Rope/ Om Nom games released after late 2019, Remastered was not developed by ZeptoLab instead, the game was outsourced to and published under Dutch developer Paladin Studios.Ĭut the Rope Remastered follows Om Nom celebrating his tenth birthday with his other family members, Om Nelle and Nibble Nom, reminiscing on adventures gone by.
